The Farmer's Daughter...

"Only" is a word that doesn't quite fit when it comes to describing Kirsten. While true that she is a farmers daughter, she is so much more! This beauty is actually a business baddie who knows much about the complications of small business as an entrepreneur herself. She's the owner of Beyond the Wildflowers, a boutique floral preservation studio. Perhaps being the daughter of a farmer has prepared her well for life as an artist & owner of something so beautifully homegrown from small roots.


Business aside, when I saw that Kirsten was welcoming a few baby goats to her family's farm, I practically begged to take some photos of her...boy am I thankful that she obliged! This perfectly organic session quickly became the start of a budding friendship, for which I am so thankful.


It was a creative relief and joy to break out my camera "just because" and capture such simple authenticity. The way we laughed when she literally chased & wrestled a baby goat was pretty worth it too haha. I loved being able to just go with the flow and capture the moments as they came.
