Good evening from the future....today is the third day of our trip here; it is almost 12am, May 21st. So far things have been a little rough on all of us, but all the same we are loving the experience! Not only is today the third day of our trip, but it was our first day of ministry! After a busy morning of traveling to different destinations (including a wonderful restaurant where we got an authentic Indian meal!), we were able to reach the Gonegandla Orphange. Here, one of our team members was able to meet a few children that she and her church sponsored! The group of children sung us songs and we showed up with some VBS songs and dances of our own which they enjoyed! We were able to preach the Gospel message and pray with them too. One of my favorite parts was helping the young boys do the craft we brought and each of them calling to me "Auntie, Auntie!" showing me their unfinished craft, looking at me as though asking for help! All of the children were fascinated with taking photos and so plenty were taken of course!
Here is just one example of many.
Today was long, rough, and yet so rewarding being able to end our night by spending time with these precious children, and not to mention getting another home cooked authentic meal.
Praise God for all the wonderful things that were done today and for what will come from this next week!
